Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen that orchestrate its disease manifestation via a complex communication system known as quorum sensing (QS). Under the regulation of this network QS system, myriad virulence factors including flagella and pili contribute to motility. To establish infection in host, P. must first attach itself host cells with assistance it would be mere impossible for initiate without those features. In study, we investigated motility under influence Piper betle leaves extract by growing bacteria on semi solid medium compared growth spread against untreated sample. There are three types motilities were being investigated, which swimming, swarming twitching. all assays, fraction ethyl acetate found reduce greatest defect swimming at more than 80% reduction Meanwhile, partially decreased twitching 58% 50% respectively, comparison The exhibited proves anti-QS property could developed potential therapeutic agent pathogen.
